In November and December of 2025, and January and February of 2026, Jumpstart Newark participants were invited to attend Real Estate Mastermind Strategies, a networking and learning opportunity hosted by Joseph Scorese at City Rub in Newark, NJ.

In Spring 2025, Jumpstart Newark hosted a rooftop mixer where past Jumpstart Newark participants and speakers had the opportunity to meet members of different cohorts and build their professional networks.

Second Cohort Graduation
On November 7, 2024, we hosted the final session for our second cohort. The session included speakers like General Contractor and CEO Tamika Lowe, Real Estate Agent and Developer Natay Hayes, Bruno Silva from the City of Newark's Office of Uniform Construction Code (UCC), South Ward Council Member Patrick Council, and Keith Hamilton from the City of Newark's Economic Housing Development (EHD) Department. The night concluded with graduation; cohort members received a certificate of completion from the Jumpstart Newark Training program. Throughout the sessions, they have heard from experts in the real estate development world on topics ranging from financing projects to construction.
